Pumpkin Butt 50-km

This low key event drew a number of locals, including a birthday boy out to celebrate turning 5-0, by running the distance. Most of the starters retired before the final loop. The course was a little harder than anticipated, with each loop taking the runners up a one mile 800 foot climb, with a resulting total elevation gain of over 4000 feet. Next year there will be a BBQ and a 50 miler will be added, which will remain free to anyone who finishes it.
