Start Times
8:00 AM EST – 11.5 Mile Trail Race
10:00 AM EST – 1 Mile Kids Trail Trot

Where
Red Top Mountain State Park, located off I-75 exit# 285, 45 minutes North of Atlanta in Cartersville, GA. Once in the park, go past the visitor center to the start of the Iron Hill Trail. Entrance to the parking lot for the Iron Hill trail will be on the righthand side of the road.
IMPORTANT - UPDATED RED TOP RUMBLE DIRECTIONS:
Due to DOT construction, the bridge over Lake Allatoona leading into Red Top Mtn State Park from exit 285 will be CLOSED on race day, Feb. 7th. Please use these alternate directions to the start of the race:
From Atlanta:
Take I-75 North to Exit 278. Turn RIGHT off the exit and go straight for 4.9 miles. During that time, you will go through 3 stop signs. Continue following the road straight into the park. The entrance to Iron Hill trail will be on your LEFT.
From the North:
Take I-75 South to Exit 278. Turn LEFT off the exit and go straight for 5 miles. During that time, you will go through 3 stop signs. Continue following the road straight into the park. The entrance to Iron Hill trail will be on your LEFT.

Course Time Limit
 2 hrs 45 minutes

Entry Fees
Race is limited to the first 300 runners.
11.5 Mile entry fee: $35.00 if postmarked or registered online by 12/31/09; $45.00 thereafter.
1 mile Kids Trail Trot entry fee: $5.00;
Online registration will close on 2/5/10.
$5 discount to all current GUTS members for 11.5 Mile race.
No refunds. No transfers.

T-Shirt Sizes
Shirts will be available in Mens and Ladies styles. When choosing your size, please note that ladies shirts run small.

Goodies
All 11.5 Mile participants will receive a Zorrel Dri-Balance long sleeve shirt and goodie bag. Finisher awards to all Kids Trail Trot participants. Post race festivities include plenty of food & raffle prizes.

Facilities
Parking and Porta Johns available at the start/finish area.

Parking fees
CARPOOLING ENCOURAGED; If you do not own a state park pass, there will be a $5 parking fee. Fee envelopes will be available at packet pick up and drop boxes.

Course Description
Winding, moderate to easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings & beautiful views of Lake Allatoona.

Aid Stations
3 aid stations available along the course with a variety of Food, Drink and Support:
1) Aid Station #1: Start of campground trail (outbound)
2) Aid Station #2: Start of Homestead lake loop (outbound)
3) Aid Station #2: End of Homestead lake loop (inbound)
4) Aid Station #3: Visitor Center/Road Crossing (inbound)

Dropping Out of the Race
If you feel you must drop from the race then you must let an official aid station volunteer know that you are leaving.

Awards
Top 10 Male & Female; Overall Master and Overall Grandmaster. No duplication of awards.  Award ceremony will take place at apx. 10:00 a.m.

Results
Results will be posted to the GUTS website. Results will also appear in regional running media.

Packet Pick Up
• Thursday, February 4th, between 12:00 p.m-8:00pm at Big Peach Running Co.- Marietta
• Friday, February 5th, between 12:00 p.m-8:00pm at Big Peach Running Co.-Kennesaw
* Anyone that picks up their packet at Big Peach Running Co. will receive a $10.00 off coupon on trail shoes to be redeemed at any BPRC location.
Also available:
• Saturday, February 6th, between 5:30 p.m-7:30 p.m. at Red Top Mountain State Park (location TBD)
• Race day at 7:00 a.m. in the start/finish area.

Why
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Red Top Mountain State Park to help support public park programs and trail maintenance.
