What
40 mile ultra marathon on the beautiful Pine Mountain Trail system of FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. This GUTS event will test your endurance and your ankles over rocky single-track trails. The trail follows the ridge line, going up and over it for the duration. Depending on water levels, the few water crossings could be dry or ankle deep. You'll experience both pine & hardwood forests, rock outcroppings, waterfalls, beaver ponds, and CCC fish hatcheries.

Packet Pick-up
Saturday night, cottage #17 in FDR State Park, 5:00-7:00 pm and @ start/finish area on race day, starting at 6:00 am.
Entry Fee
• $60.00 if postmarked by October 1, 2009; $70 through Nov 1; $80 after Nov 1.
• $5 discount to all 2009 GUTS members.
• Race is limited to 125 runners. No refunds. No transfers.
• Entries received after November 3 cannot be guaranteed the requested size of finisher's fleece vest.
• All entrants will receive a pair of Stuffitts Shoe Savers in their race packet!
Awards
Top 5, male and female.
Custom hand-thrown pottery crocks by Tracy Thomas.
Awards will not be mailed. 
Finisher's Awards
All finishers will receive a fleece VEST with the race logo embroidered on it upon finishing. You MUST finish to get the vest. Please remember to get your fancy fleece as soon as you finish as we will not mail it.
